A Winter Night in Hantsport, NS

On a very cold  January 01, 2013 Darlene and I went on a photo walk in the downtown area of the small Nova Scotia town of Hantsport.  The windchill was -17 degrees celsius that night.

In Hantsport’s hey day it was a booming shipbuilding town.  Gypsum export was another major industry in the town.  In my youth my cousins and I would thrill to the sight of the gypsum ships coming up the Avon River, home of the highest tides in the world.
